Tamil star Vijay’s last outing Master under the direction of Lokesh Kanagaraj received mixed to negative reviews in Tamil and outright negative reviews from Telugu critics and audience alike. While the film is ending up as a disaster in Telugu, it has done well in first two weeks in Tamil Nadu.
Surprisingly, the makers of the film announced that, Master will premiere on streaming app Amazon Prime Video from 29th of this day. This will be a big shock for the buyers of Master who bought the movie rights for fancy amounts. They feel cheated as the movie is running with good numbers in Tamil Nadu.
Earlier, before the film hit the screens, there were reports that, Master would release on an OTT platform like Aakasam Nee Haddura (Soorarai Pottru). But, the makers condemning the reports released it for Pongal. Despite mixed reviews, the film raked huge numbers in first week and continued to do well in second week as well.
It has to be see whether they will change plans of OTT streaming or go ahead in releasing it in a couple of days!
