RRR Taking Baahubali Time!

RRR To Release For Dussehra

Ace director SS Rajamouli takes long time to complete his films. He took nearly two years to complete his Eega with Nani. Rajamouli’s magnum opus Baahubali was completed in five long years. Prabhas, Rana and all the other lead cast allocated huge call sheets for the film. Though Rana did other films, Prabhas didn’t do any other film during the making of Baahubali.

At present, Rajamouli is making another high budget multi-starrer RRR with NTR and Ram Charan playing the lead roles. The film has been on sets for nearly three years. It was announced in 2017 and hit the floors in March 2018. But, the makers faced various problems ever since its commencement.

Ram Charan and NTR got injured and a foreign actress who was supposed to play heroine opposite NTR walked out of it. Then, coronavirus and subsequent lockdown caused huge delay. Finally, when the film’s shoot resumed, it faced another halt as Charan tested positive for Covid 19.

It is learnt that, RRR will miss summer season as well and the film produced by DVV Danyya is more likely to release for Dussehra. However, an official confirmation on the same is awaited. Even if the film releases for the festival, it will complete 3 and half years from the day it went on sets.

So, RRR is taking almost the time equal to Baahubali part one. Rajamouli wrapped up Baahubali part 2 within 2 years.

But, this time, various reasons caused delay in wrapping up RRR shoot. Given it’s Rajamouli’s film and it has ensemble cast, it’s worth the wait!
