Throwing all the blame upon Covid-19, the union and state governments have closed the educational institutions indefinitely for the past nine months. Even today, the union government hasn't clarified that when the engineering and medical colleges would get reopened.
As a result, students across the nation turned lazy and the standards of education have drastically come down to rock bottom. Even though online classes have been encouraged and are successfully being conducted, hardly have students acquired the desirable content from them. Most importantly, they have missed practical experience in the process of teaching-learning. This will lead to an immense damage to the nation.
And now, both the union and AP state governments have taken awkward decisions on the final examinations of class 10 students. Having wasted many months by closing the schools for several months, the union and state governments have decided to extend this academic year.
According to reports, CBSC board confirmed the dates between May 4 and June 10 to conduct board exams to 10th class students. On the other side, the AP educational officers have also confirmed that they would conduct public examinations for 10th class in the month of May.
Never ever in the history of Indian education system, 10th exams have been conducted in the month of May. The temperature ranges between 45 - 50 degree celsius in India in the month of May. Imagine a student taking an exam experiencing a dreaded scorching heat. There maybe chances of heat strokes which may lead to deaths of the students.
The governments should right away stop taking 'Tuglaq' kinda decisions to save Indian education system.
