SS Rajamouli’s RRR, pan-Indian film is one the big-ticket film awaited by cinephiles. The film was supposed to release on Sankranthi 2020, but novel virus Covid-19 and then indefinite lockdown wreathed havoc on the release plans.
The team then gave another announcement that the film will release on Sankranthi 2021. But looks like there is disappointment in store for the fans of RRR. The film team got jolt after actor Ram Charan tested Covid positive, who is now in self-quarantine. With the shoot again coming to halt and with lot of portions to shoot, it is reported that RRR release date has been shifted to Dussara 2021 from Sankranthi.
Yes, you have read it right. The wait is bit longer folks. Now, the team is aiming to finish the shoot by March and then complete the post-production works as it involves lot CG and Rajamouli is known for grandeur in his films so it would be investing more time.
On the flip side, Dussara release may bring more footfall to theaters as the chances are there for the Covid pandemic to subside by then. And since its festive release audience are likely to throng cinema halls.
