Popular Tamil television actress VJ Chithra was found dead in a Chennail hotel room on December 9. The Pandian Stores serial fame, which has been adapted in Telugu as Vandinamma, ended her life by hanging herself from the ceiling fan. The news has come as a shock in the Kollywood industry. She was aged 29 at the time of her death. During the time of her death, she was staying with her fiance Hemanth, a businessman, with whom she got engaged in the month of August.
According to police, Chithra came to the hotel after wrapping up her shoot. She informed Hemanth that she was going for a bath. However, he grew suspicious after she didn't step out after prolonged time. He then with the help of hotel staff opened the door only to find her hanging.
The deceased family has been informed about the tragic news and they are yet to issue a statement. Netizens have expressed grief, shock and condolence have been pouring in over the sudden tragic demise of their favourite star. Apart from being a popular serial actress, she has also hosted numerous shows including Makkal TV, Jaya TV and Zee Tamizh.
