Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi has offered a financial aid of Rs 10 lakh to a fellow actor who has been diagnosed with cancer. The incident came to light after actor Thavasi released a video and narrated her ordeal pleading for financial help. The video has, “I have acted in films from Kizhakku Cheemayile (1993) to the latest Rajinikanth’s Annaatthe. I never thought that I would get such a disease”.
Upon the viral video, it is learnt that actor Soundara Raja met Thavasi and offered Vijay’s help and also gave a cheque of Rs 10,000. Meanwhile, actors Sivakarthikeyan and Soori have come forward to clear the medical expenses.
On the work front, Vijay will be seen as an antagonist in Buchi Babu's directorial debut Uppena.
