Hails from Visakhapatnam, director Sudha Kongara is making waves in Kollywood with back to back hits. Not many know that, Sudha Kongara made her debut as director in 2008 with a small time utter flop film Andhra Andagadu. Later, she ventured into Tamil with Drohi which too was a flop.
Sudha Kongara then made a super hit bilingual Irudhi Suttru (Saala Khadoos in Hindi) with Madhavan and remade it in Telugu as Guru with Venkatesh playing the lead. The Telugu version was also a smashing hit.
Sudha then grabbed the opportunity to direct star hero Suriya in Aakasam Nee Haddura which released on OTT to overwhelming response. During her interviews, Sudha’s talking about Drohi, but she is not uttering a word about her first film Andhra Andagadu.
In fact, the making of Andhra Andagadu was not even par with TV serials at that time. Perhaps, Sudha feels regret to make such a pathetic film. But, the kind of films she has been making of late, Sudha is expected to join the top directors list soon. Already, she has been flooded with many offers and heroes like Vijay Deverakonda directly expressed his wish to work with her.
