Maverick director Puri Jagannadh delivered more flops than hits in last few years. There were many reasons for his film iSmart Shankar with hero Ram becoming a hit. Puri is now making a pan India Film with young hero Vijay Deverakonda who is also in desperate need of a hit as his last few films turned out to be flops.
Puri has been making many statements of late and giving leaks about his next plans. He is said to be planning to make only pan India films from now on which allegedly is to lure stars who are looking for pan India scripts.
But nothing is working out in his favor and no star hero gave nod to him till date, provided all the scripts penned by Puri are said to be regular and commercial ones, lacking freshness.
As of now, Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan, Mahesh Babu, NTR, Allu Arjun and few others refused his scripts. Only if he can prove with Fighter, he will get a star for his next.
The film Fighter is in the middle of the shooting and very soon a new schedule will begin. Let’s see whether Puri can deliver a hit with Fighter and grab the opportunity to direct a star in his next!
