Aha, Clear Winner Over Amazon Prime

Aha Upper Hand Over Amazon Prime Video

Aha is no where nearer to big OTT players like Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, Disney+Hostar and ZEE5 who spend crores of rupees to acquire content. While Aha has very limited content and it will only stream Telugu films, the other big players have innumerable films in various languages.

However, Aha seems to be a clear winner over Amazon and other OTT platforms. No single film released on Amazon during the lockdown is a winner. All the films particularly south Indian movies disappointed big time. Amazon bought OTT rights of Nani, Sudheer Babu starrer V and Anushka’s Nishabdham for staggering amounts. But, both the films ended up as disasters.

There were massive expectations on these two films and even makers as well as the OTT management promoted them aggressively. But, nothing helped due to negative response from critics and audience alike.

On the other hand, Aha is smartly investing. They are not in a hurry in acquiring content. They are buying films which will have good reach. Films like Khaidi was streamed at the right time and then few noted films were screened during the lockdown.

Despite receiving mixed to negative response, Orey Bujjiga is turning out to be a profitable venture due to hilarious entertainment in first half of the film.

Colour Photo starring Suhas and Chandini Chowdary is gearing up for release on October 23rd during Dussehra weekend on Aha. The buzz is quite high on the film directed by Sandeep Raaj. This film is expected to attract youth as well as family audience.

In fact, the reason Aha becoming successful is its promoter Allu Aravind is acquiring the content that will equally appeal to all section of audience. This way, Aha is a clear winner over Amazon Prime Video, during the lockdown!
