Lockdown brought laziness among the people. Work mindedness of the people is lost miserably. Instead, people tuned their mindsets to entertainment mode, always. At this juncture, OTT films formed an entertainment hub for the film lovers.
Sadly, some of the senior and top producers too developed interest in making films for OTT platforms instead of theatrical films. D Suresh Babu stands the best example of people of that category who are fond of OTT release of their films.
Naturally, audiences who are fond of watching films on big screens have been agonized with the emergence of OTT platforms. They are cursing filmmakers who wish their films to get released on OTT platforms.
At this juncture, the union government permitted reopening of multiplexes and single screens from October 15.
According to the reports, management of multiplexes have decided not to screen OTT films. This decision turned out to be a huge blow for filmmakers who are greedy about instant profits with OTT releases.
Whatsoever, the decision of multiplexes will surely make the interest in watching films in theatres is rejuvenated. And theatres, in near future, will, as usually, be thronged by big numbers of audience.
