Tamil star Vijay’s Master directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj was initially planned for summer release in 2020. But, the film got postponed due to corona pandemic and the consequent lockdown imposed by the central government. The makers later planned to release the film for summer in 2021.
Now, it is coming out that, they are mulling over the idea of releasing the film for Pongal. Reportedly, overseas distributors were asked to make the release arrangements for Sankranthi. 2021 Sankranthi will witness several big ticket films hitting the screens and now Master joins the race. However, an official confirmation is awaited on this.
Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s Vakeel Saab, Yash’s KGF 2, Nithiin’s Rang De, Akhil’s Most Eligible Bachelor, Bellamkonda Srinivas’s Alludu Adhurs and few other films are aimed for sankranthi release. But, the major competition will be between Vakeel Saab, KGF and Master.
Vijay Sethupathi plays antagonist and Malavika Mohanan will be seen as Vijay’s love interest. The music for the film is composed by Anirudh Ravichander and songs already became chartbusters.
