Tamil actor Suriya’s latest movie Aakaasam Nee Haddhu Ra (Soorarai Pottru in Tamil) will release directly on Amazon Prime Video on October 30, skipping the theatrical route amid the Covid-19 pandemic. The movie is directed by Sudha Kongara, who had also directed the Venkatesh-Ritika Singh starrer Guru.
Latest we heard is promising Telugu actor Satya Dev has lent his voice for Suriya’s character for the Telugu version of the film. Satya Dev is undoubtedly one of the finest actors and the strong voice is his biggest advantage. He is expected to match Suriya’s performance with his voice for the Telugu version.
The much-anticipated Aakaasam Nee Haddhu Ra is inspired by the life of retired army veteran Captain GR Gopinath, who founded the low-cost airline Air Deccan. The movie’s release on Amazon Prime Video assumes significance since this is the first south movie with a big male star to release directly on an OTT platform. The film also stars Aparna Balamurali as the female lead.
