Director Sukumar considered various names to play antagonist in his film Pushpa starring stylish star Allu Arjun. Vijay Sethupathi was almost confirmed, but the actor opted out owing to his own reasons. Then, several names were heard. Latest we heard is Madhavan is finalized to play the villain in Pushpa. However, an official confirmation is awaited on this.
Madhavan who played lover boy roles during his early stage of career essayed different roles later. He played a role with negative shades in Yuva and came back to Tollywood playing a negative shaded role in Naga Chaitanya’s Savyasachi. He will be seen as Anushka’s husband in upcoming film Nishabdham.
Madhavan is one of the most talented actors in India and he is a perfect choice for Pushpa. The film will have two more villains. Rashmika Mandanna plays Allu Arjun’s love interest in the film based on red sandalwood smuggling.
Pushpa is likely to go on floors from November 20th.
