Film industry has been closed for more than six months due to the corona pandemic. Never in the history of the film industry this had happened. Though the film industry passed through many disasters and calamities, it never witnessed losses of this range. Even during World War I and II, the film industry did not come to a complete standstill.
Filmmakers are not taking any chances to resume shootings as corona cases are increasing despite the ease in lockdown restrictions. Analysts are of the opinion that big budget producers may face even more problems. Tollywood has big budget films like RRR, Acharya, Pushpa, Radhe Shyam etc.
RRR completed 70% shoot and due to corona reports are coming that the cost of film budget is increasing more than expected following lockdown. It is known that night shoots require the producers to give double payment. Now that situation is not conducive for outdoor shoots, for indoor shoots sets should be erected which increase the cost. So, all these double the budget of the films.
