Filmmakers spend high budget on pre-production, production and post-production works to offer quality product to cine goers. Huge budget is allocated for VFX and other post-production activities to make every visual look lavish. But, shockingly, Tollywood filmmakers of late are compromising on quality and are not keen on investing needed budget for post-production works.
Actually, filmmakers took the resolution not for the films to be released on theaters. They are compromising on quality of films which are going for direct digital release. Filmmakers who sold rights of their films to OTT players had completed remaining works in a hurry.
It’s not just about post-production works. Even films which were in final stages of production had wrapped up the pending works at a rapid pace. While OTT players forced producers to give final copy of the films at the earlier, producers also utilized the opportunity to decrease the budget.
Recently released films and also films which are set for release in September and October months compromised on budget, as if it was not their responsibility on quality of the product they made.
