The giant OTT player Amazon Prime Video has been acquiring lots of content of various languages to increase their subscribers count. It is shelling out huge prices to acquire digital rights of small to star hero films. But, most of the south Indian films that had direct to digital release in recent times turned out as flops.
They hoped to put an end to the flop streak with Nani and Sudheer Babu starrer V directed by Mohana Krishna Indraganti. The film released amidst huge expectations couple of days ago had received unenthusiastic reports. Although the film got record views initially, the negative talk played the spoilsport. It is turning out to be another flop for Amazon Prime.
Previously several Telugu films acquired by Amazon such as Keerthy Suresh’s Penguin failed to impress the audience. Now, the OTT player is pinning many hopes on Suriya’s Aakasam Nee Haddura to release on October 30th.
