Chiranjeevi indeed became the first South Indian actor to get the Oscar invitation for the year 1987 at Los Angeles in California. He attended the 59th Academy Awards function in style and the international community raves about him.
Chiranjeevi received Rs 1.25 crs remuneration in 1992 for his film Aapadbhandhavudu and thus became the highest-paid Indian actor, bigger than Amitabh Bachchan. Many national and international magazines raved about his achievement. Earlier Chiranjeevi crossed Amir Khan who got Rs 6crs for Lagaan, when he got Rs 7crs for Indra.
