Right before the corona impact and the lockdown, following the sensational start to 2020 in Tollywood with films like Mahesh Babu’s Sarileru Neekevvaru, Allu Arjun’s Ala Vaikunthapurramloo, and Nithiiin’s Bheeshma, everyone started dreaming of making an impression, carry forward the brisk start and continue the success streak.
However, lockdown resulted in the closure of theatres and one is not sure when the films that are ready for release will hit the screens. There are many crazy entertainers like Anushka’s Nishabdam, Raj Tarun’s Orey Bujjiga, Nani-Sudheer Babu’s V, Ram’s Red, Vaishnav Tej’s Uppena and Pradeep’s 30 Rojullo Preminchatam Ela to name a few.
The teasers and first look posters of these films generated huge interest and movie lovers waited eagerly for the releases. Now analysts with question mark over the opening of theatres and return to normalcy advice makers to release the films on OTTs before movie lovers forget them completely.
It has to be seen what call the makers take as all of them have been on record saying that their films are worth watching in theatres.
