Postman D Sivan is one such unsung hero who would walk 15 km everyday through a thick forest for three decades and was retired recently.
"Postman D. Sivan walked 15 kms everyday through thick forests to deliver mail in inaccessible areas in Coonoor.Chased by wild elephants,bears, gaurs,crossing slippery streams&waterfalls he did his duty with utmost dedication for 30 years till he retired last week," reads The Hindu newspaper's report.
Megastar Chiranjeevi, who was greatly impressed with Sivan's dedication, took to his Twitter platform and tweeted, "Chanced upon this.For many people, doing their job despite all adversities gives utmost satisfaction.Thanks to such great beings, humanity thrives. #UnsungHeroes."
