There are many stars and many are under the impression that producers will make huge bucks of profits if they do films with them. However, what they do not realize that if the film's turn out to be flops; they will land in huge losses. Here are few such films that drowned producers in huge losses.
Agnyaathavaasi: Pawan Kalyan's 25th film Agnyaathavaasi directed by Trivikram Srinivas released amidst huge expectations. However, the film bombed at the box office bringing Rs 55crs losses.
Brahmotsavam: Mahesh Babu's Brahmotsavam directed by Srikanth Addala which hit the screens with huge expectations landed producers in Rs40crs losses. Srikanth Addala is yet to recover from Brahmotsavam shock.
Sakthi: NTR's Shakti directed by Meher Ramesh gave such a huge shock that a top producer like Ashwini Dutt had to spend seven years before overcoming those losses.
Toofan: Ram Charan who used to be a minimum guarantee hero made his debut with Zanjeer in Bollywood and the same was released in Telugu as Toofan. The film got a disastrous talk from the first day.
Rebel: Prabhas' Rebel directed by Raghava Lawrence turned out to be a huge disaster. Producers J Bhagavan and J Pulla Rao even fought court battles with Lawrence.
Okka Magadu: YVS Chowdhary's Okka Magadu with Balakrishna bombed at the box office incurring huge losses to producer.
Spyder: Mahesh Babu and Murugadoss's Spyder had huge expectations down south. But the film turned out to be a disaster bringing Rs 50 crs losses to the producers.
Shadow: Meher Ramesh's Shadow with Venkatesh gave another shock to producers bringing Rs 20 crs losses to the producers.
NTR Kathanayakudu, Mahanayakdu: Balakrishna's prestigious biopic on his dad NTR Kathanayakudu collected only 19crs and NTR Mahanayakudu collected just Rs 4crs to leave the producers in huge losses.
Manmadhudu 2: The film directed by Rahul Ravindran turned out to be the biggest disaster crossing his previous disaster Kedi. Rahul faced criticism that he spoiled the flavor of old Manmadhudu.
Komaram Puli: Pawan Kalyan's Komaram Puli landed producers in losses amounting to Rs 25crs ten years back.
Akhil: Akhil's debut film gave him a huge shock turning out to be a massive disaster.
