The entire world is withering under the deadly coronavirus pandemic. The film industry bore the most of the brunt as all the theatres got closed and shootings came to a standstill. None could predict when theatres will open, though there are reports that theaters may open from July 31st.
Under these circumstances, producers are in a huge dilemma. Due to corona, almost all the actors are without work passing time in their houses and are praying to see the end of corona so that they can resume shooting. In reality, except for the top stars who are able to survive during the lockdown, all others are facing the pinch of the financial crunch.
Recently state governments have given permission for film shoots with some restrictions. Though few filmmakers resumed shootings, they are now planning to stop once again due to the increase in coronavirus cases. Many are scared to step out due to an increase in the cases. Almost all the producers have to take precautions and this is increasing the production costs.
From star producers to small time producers, everybody is experiencing cash crunch. The long delay of shoots and film releases will further burden the producers.
