Here is great news for corona patients. Noted pharmaceuticals company Glenmark Pharmaceuticals has launched an anti coronaviral drug Favipiravir under the brand name Fabiflu. The union government has permitted the company to distribute the medicine to cure the patients.
The tests revealed that the drug can cure the patients who suffer mild to moderate levels of corona disease. The drug can also be used by the patients who suffer diabetes and heart ailments.
The chairman and managing director Glenn Saldanha said, "This approval comes at a time when cases in India are spiralling like never before, putting a tremendous pressure on our healthcare system."
Each tablet's price is fixed at Rs.103. On the first day, the corona patients should take 1800 mg in two doses and from day two on wards, he should consume 800 mg per day in two weeks course.
It's learnt that the manufacturing of the drug will be done on a large scale to cater the needs of a massive number of people across India.
