Colonel Santosh Babu's sacrifice for the nation is remarkable. As we know, in the line of duty, the colonel lost his life against the Chinese troops in a violent face-off at Galwan Valley. The cremation of the martyr was done on Thursday with all the state honours.
Meanwhile, Telangana CM KCR showed an extraordinary gecture towards Santosh Babu and other 19 patriots who attained martyrdom at Galwan Valley. KCR attended all partys' meet held by the PM Narendra Modi.
KCR announced that the Telangana government would give Rs.5 crore cash, a site for house and a job equivalent to Group 1 post would be offered to the colonel's wife. Further, KCR asserted that the government would donate Rs.10 lakh to all other martyrs and the amount would be sent to the union defence ministry. Further, KCR affirmed that he, himself, would go to Santosh Babu's house and would give away the ex-gratia.
