As far as Tollywood is concerned, Megastar Chiranjeevi is a legend. In Indian politics, PM Narendra Modi is a legend. Likewise, Infosys Narayana Murthy is a legend in software and IT development.
Similarly, there are legendary employees in various fields. Yes, legends need not be celebs. Whoever work outstandingly with great power and energy over the decades with an unbelievable discipline are considered to be legends.
As we know, outspread of coronavirus pandemic resulted in 3-month long nationwide lockdown imposed in India. As a result, there was a permanent shutdown to many small scale industries while many big firms removed big numbers of their employees. Some big firms are heard to have removed even 50% of their employees while many others preferred pay cuts to the employees. This is all about the pay cuts and terminations of ordinary employees we are talking about.
But then, the case is merely different to legendary employees. Many companies, who make out the importance of legends, ensure full pay offered to them without deducting even a single rupee.
"Is there a need to pay full salary to those employees in this intense crisis?," asked a journo to a management's head of a corporate firm. He quipped and says, "They are outstanding employees who turn backbones to our firms. Even if the company suffers losses, I may even expend my pocket money to pay them the full pay. Even if there's no pocket money with me, I will borrow the money to pay full salaries to legends to avoid unncessary obstacles."
