Bollywood is on making spree of biopics of eminent cricket personalities. As of now, biopics like Dhoni, Sachin - A Billion Dreams and Azhar were released. Dhoni biopic stood as a money spinner among them.
Right now, a film on India's memorable world cup victory of 1983, '83' is under production which is featured by Ranvir Singh as Kapil Dev.
In the meanwhile, all cricket fans are eagerly awaiting the make of Indian skipper Virat Kohli's biopic. But then, Kohli is learnt to have taken a strange decision on his biopic. In his recent live chat with his followers on Twitter, Kohli disclosed he, himself, wishes to play his role in the biopic and his wife Anushka Sharma would be made female lead in the film.
Nevertheless, most of the cricket and cine lovers felt Kohli has taken the worst decision. "Doing once own character in a biopic is something like boasting about him. It wouldn't be a sensible decision. Though Sachin Tendlukar had done his own biopic, the film was made like a documentary and hence it can't considered a film," opines a fan of Kohli.
However, most of the cricket lovers are of the opinion that Kohli suits to do hero roles given his handsome physique and angry young man kinda looks.
