May 9th is a very special day for megastar Chiranjeevi who in his long career scored many hits, but films released on the special dates remain to be memorable films ever for him as well as for his fans.
Chiranjeevi’s iconic film Jagadeka Verudu Athiloka Sundar completes 30 years today. The film directed by K Raghavendra Rao and bankrolled by Ashwini Dutt with Sridev playing female lead released in 1990.
The very next year, Chiranjeevi attained another industry hit in form of Gang Leader. Coincidentally, Gang Leader directed by Vijaya Bapineedu and produced by Maganti Ravindranath was also released on lucky date of May 9th.
As of now, Chiranjeevi accomplished six industry hits, including one non-Baahubali hit Khaidi No 150 that marked his comeback to films.
