This Is the Ugliest Side of Lockdown?

Is It the Ugliest Side of Lockdown?

On one side experts and economists kept on elucidating the union government that the prolonged lockdown is merely a waste exercise in India as the pandemic is not as harmful as it is in the cold weathered countries while on the other many adverse effects are seen in many sectors with lockdown.

Paying a deaf ear, Modi led government is going ahead with lockdown 2, lockdown 3 so on.

And today, the biggest disaster ever is faced by the city of Vizag. The toxic Styrene gas leak from LG Polymer's Industry primarily resulted in the death of at least 10 people whereas around 800 people who fell into a state of an intense sickness are being treated in various hospitals in the city.

The MD of the company opined that the company shouldn't have been in a 'closed down' state for a long time. "Ultimately, this resulted in automatic polymerization in the machines which led to an unavoidable leakage of the gas. For time being, it appears it's not a man made damage nor the damage of the machinery. In a broader sense, the industry shouldn't have been closed for a long time. In other words, the prolonged lockdown shouldn't have been imposed in the country," an official said.
