The Telangana CM KCR proclaimed the extension of lockdown upto 29th May in the state. The CM said liquor shops will be allowed from tomorrow and the liquor is sold with 16% hike on MRPs. A review meeting at CM level will be conducted on 15th of this month. Following are the excerpts of his press meet.
* A total of 1096 corona positive cases have been recorded so far in Telangana of which 628 patients have been discharged so far. Right now, 439 corona active cases are under treatment.
* While the death rate at national lever stands at 3.37%, it's limited to 2.24% in TS.
* Liquor shops will be opened between 10 am and 6 pm. Except in containmnet zones, the liquor shops will be opened in all other zones. However, social distance and face masks are mandatory.
* Karim Nagar is the first containment zone in India thus Telangana stood as a role model in the country.
* We are trying hard to contain corona to zero cases.
* Bharat Biotech and Santha Biotech are experimenting on the invention of vaccination for corona.
* Right now, 9 districts in TS are in green zone while 18 more will go to green zone in 11 days.
* All the relaxations suggested by the union government for green and orange zones are being practised in the state. However, all shops will remain closed in red zones.
* Stamps and Registration activities will start from May 6.
* Sand and mining activities will also start from tomorrow.
* SSC exams will be conducted as per high court's direction.
* Intermediate spot valuation will start from tomorrow.
