NTR's Three Conditions To Balakrishna

NTR’s Conditions To Balakrishna For The Project

Senior NTR is known for his professional and down to earth humble nature. He planned his son Balakrishna's career in a similar manner.

Producer Gopal Reddy planned a film with Balakrishna on his Bhargav Arts Production. When he was hunting for stories, he felt that Tamil hit Manvasanai would suit Balakrishna. They finalized Kodi Ramakrishna as the director.

During that time, to do any film with Balakrishna, makers should get permission from his dad NTR. Kodi Ramakrishna and Gopal Reddy met NTR and narrated the story. For some reason, NTR did not like the film and remarked 'Tamil Nativity ekkuvagaa undi.. Manaku Saripadadu brother'.

Gopal Reddy, however, believed in the story and as a final attempt, narrated the story to Balakrishna. Strangely Balakrishna loved the story. He told NTR 'Naannagaru ee kadha bagundanipistondi'.

NTR heard the story once again for Balakrishna. In the story grandmother's role was crucial. In Tamil unknown actress played the role. NTR told that if the duration of the role is increased and a top actress Bhanumati does the role, it will be a big hit. He asked to shelve the project if Bhanumati doesn't give a green signal.

Kodi Ramakrishna ran to Bhanumati and though she hesitated, she couldn't refuse after NTR called and requested her. The film titled Mangamma Gari Manavadu turned out to be a super hit.

Before the start of the shoot, NTR called Balakrishna and set three conditions. He asked Balakrishna to be in the sets 30 minutes ahead of Bhanumati and open her car door the moment she reaches and take her blessings the moment she gets out of the car. Balakrishna followed it every day during the entire shoot.

Bhanumati got bowled by Balakrishna's behavior and asked 'Ila cheyamani mee Naanna cheppada? peddalni gowravinchadam nekundi.. paikostaav'.
