The Chief Minister of AP, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is keen to give prime importance to school education in the state. The CM reviewed the status of welfare programmes in the school education on Tuesday. He initiated yet another student friendly scheme 'Jagananna Vidya Kaanuka'.
The scheme includes a school kit consisting a school bag, three pairs of uniforms, two pairs of socks, a pair of shoes, a belt, notebooks and textbooks. The officials concerned exhibited the models of the school kit to the CM during the review meeting. Having impressed with the models, the CM ordered them to distribute the school kit in the month of June straightaway after the schools get reopened. Further, he advised them to ensure the scheme is implemented scrupulously.
On the other hand, disbursement of Rs.15000 to the mothers of the school going kids was completed successfully in the state under 'Ammavodi' scheme. Moreover, sufficient infrastructure is being provided under 'Nadu Nedu' scheme apart from providing English labs and smart TVs.
