Mega Star Chiranjeevi has a special place in the Tollywood industry. He ruled the industry as the undisputed No 1 for more than two decades before entering politics. However, he returned back to the screen after a gap of one decade but showed to all that his craze remained intact with is film Khaidi No 150.
He recently showed his power with Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy and is now starring in Acharya under the direction of Koratala Siva. He is lining up many more crazy projects.
But Chiranjeevi's actions are triggering discussions between mega fans and antis. They are criticizing saying Chiranjeevi crossed 60 but still he is doing lead roles and questioning why should he do lead role and commercial entertainers suited for young stars rather than do special roles. They point out how Chiru's romance with Tamannaah failed in Sye Raa and also pointed out that dupes have been extensively used in Sye Raa stunts.
But mega fans are angrily responding saying Khaidi No 150 turned out to be the first Rs 100crs share film after Baubali and pointed that even Sye Raa got good collections in Tollywood.
They cited the example of Kollywood Super Star Rajinikanth who has been doing commercial films though he is reeling under flops. They questioned why should Chiranjeevi stop doing lead roles as he is getting hits and added that Mega Star is class apart from other senior stars and his films can get collections akin to Genex star heroes.
