On the other auspicious day of Maha Shivaratri, collection king Mohan Babu announced that he would be producing a devotional movie Bhaktha Kannappa with his son Manchu Vishnu in a title role. Also, Mohan Babu disclosed the film's budget as Rs.60 crore.
De Facto, Mohan Babu has been mulling over for a couple of years, to bankroll the same project. But then, it was also tattled that Krishnam Raju, who once acted super hit film Bhaktha Kannappa in 1970s, wanted to remake the film roping in Young Rebel Star Prabhas as a hero. Further, it was also rumoured that Krishnam Raju expressed his anger on Mohan Babu on the proposed Bhaktha Kannappa project.
Ostensibly, Krishnam Raju might have given up the idea of remaking the project which might have prompted Mohan Babu planning to produce the film. Let's wish Mohan Babu and Manchu Vishnu would deliver a master piece with the proposed Bhaktha Kannappa.
