The AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has taken yet another earth-shaking decision which turns a morale booster for the people who crave for transparency and righteous approach in electioneering. The AP cabinet meet was held on Wednesday morning. The cabinet, headed by the CM resolved on following issues.
* No candidate should be caught distributing liquor and money to the voters. If the candidates are found guilty, they will be disqualified from contesting. Besides, they are sentenced for 3 year imprisonment.
* The duration between election notification and election date for MPTC/ZPTCs will be reduced from 21 days to 15 days. Sarpanch election process will be completed in 13 days.
* Candidates who live in villages only should contest elections.
* The responsibilities of clean and green activities should be taken up by sarpanchs.
