In what could be said a huge jolt for the people of AP is that the YSRCP government hiked power tariff in the state considerably. The power tariffs have been hiked from Rs.9.05 to Rs.9.95 to those consumers who use more than 500 units per month. A sort of a relief is that less percentage of people come under this category.
Whatsoever, ahead of summer, power tariff hike is surely an unwanted gesture from the YSRCP government which would invite the ire of people for sure.
On the other hand, AP Fibernet consumers should pay Rs.300 per month instead of Rs.250. The hike of monthly tariff comes into force from February.
Interestingly, the decisions of price hike for electricity bill tariff and AP Fibernet were taken on the same day.
