It is a known news that Stylish Star Allu Arjun and director Trivikram's combo film Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo turned the latest industry hit (non BB) of Tollywood. According to trade sources, the film, as of now, collected Rs.155 crore world wide share.
Until some days ago, anti fans desperately tried to demean the box office status of Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. Howbeit, as the film registered rock steady collections even after Sankranthi festival season and Republic day, everyone including other heroes' fans had to accept the industry hit status of AVPL, inevitably.
However, anti fans are now desperately trying to attribute the IH credit to Trivikram solely. Is it so? Allu Arjun vs Trivikram! Who gives IH to whom? Checkout the following analysis.
Having gone through Trivikram's filmography, it's fathomed that the top director has an industry hit Atharintiki Daredi in his kitty. His other films like Jalsa, Julayi and A..Aa scored big hits. Athadu, S/o Satyamurthy and Aravinda Sametha became decent ventures at the box office. An interesting observation resolves that Trivikram has resounding hits with mega family heroes only. Mahesh Babu's Athadu was not a big hit while Khaleja was a disaster. NTR's ASVR too comes under decent ventures category.
Looking into the films of Allu Arjun, his Arya, Deshamuduru, Parugu, Julayi, Race Gurram and Sarrainodu stood as the biggest blockbusters of respective years those films hit screens. Gangotri, Bunny, S/o Satyamurthy, DJ etc. got above average to hit statuses.
And now, Thaman's music is also said to be one of the instrumental factors for the film's outstanding success. Yes, absolutely right! But then, Thaman has never delivered such an earth-shaking album with other films though most of them stood as chartbusters.
AVPL has already been anatomized by the critics. Apart from praising Trivikram's directorial prowess, they even found faults with the direction here and there.
According to a generalized notion, director is the captain of the ship and he must be given lion share in the success of any film. Admitting and applying this fact to AVPL, Trivikram must be given credit for AVPL's IH. Yet, Stylish Star's one man show, particularly in the boardroom sequence, his confrontation scenes with Murali Sharma and his heart-tickling expressions in songs apart from stylish dance moves, made him sharing the success credit on par with Trivikram.
To sum up, Allu Arju, Trivikram, Thaman and all other cast and crew's enormous efforts made the film an industry hit of Tollywood.
