Superstar Mahesh Babu is currently in 3 months family vacation in New York. He will also undergo knee surgery. The actor who completed a hat trick of hits with Sarleru Neekevvaru will be joining hands with Vamsi Paidipally for a spy thriller to be bankrolled by Dil Raju.
Usually, Mahesh Babu takes good time to complete his films. He actually surrenders for his directors once script is locked. He tells them not to compromise on anything. Unlike usual, he completed Sarileru Neekevvaru in less number of working days. The film was released during Sankranti to mixed response from critics, though it got massive openings.
Sarileru Neekevvaru has reached breakeven mark, but the film may not become a massive blockbuster as predicted by its makers. The feedback Mahesh Babu and his makers received were the ordinary production values. This is the result of wrapping up the film in quick session.
Of course, producers spent massive budget on the film. But due to hurried making, it affected the outcome of the film. “Had they taken some more time for script, production and post-production works, the outcome would be different. A summer release would have been the best option,” opine analysts.
Mahesh Babu who is aware of what went wrong has learnt a lesson from Sarileru Neekevvaru. He has decided not to complete films at rapid pace. He is said to have told his director Vamsi Paidipally to fine tune the script and shoot the film at his usual pace.
Given Mahesh Babu needs to take nearly 4 to 5 months of rest post surgery, Vamsi has got sufficient time to betterment the script. Mahesh Babu is also not particular about releasing the film for Sankranthi. He has no problems in releasing the film in summer, next year.
