Puri Jagannadh took the responsibility to introduce Vijay Deverakonda in Bollywood with Fighter which will start rolling from tomorrow in Mumbai. Puri will also produce the film along with Karan Johan and Charmme Kaur.
Karan Johar and team considered few heroines including Kiara Advani and Janhvi Kapoor for the film. Latest update is that Ananya Pandey is finalized to romance Vijay Devarakonda in the film. Ananya Pandey is daughter of Bollywood comedian Chunky Pandey who played the antagonist in Saaho.
Fighter will be made as Pan India film in Hindi and all south Indian languages. Vijay plays a boxer and he underwent training to learn mixed martial arts in Thailand.
Puri is planning to wrap up the film in three months time to release it in summer.
