Maruthi shot to fame after gaining recognition with small films. He scored a super hit with Super Star Mahesh Babu's brother in law Sudheer Babu's hilarious horror flick Prema Katha Chitram which was also written and produced by him.
Maruthi got flooded with many offers from top stars of Tollywood. However, he decided to direct young and upcoming heroes and scored hits with Nani's Bhale Bhale Magadivoy and Sharwanand's Mahanubhavudu. He scored another hit with his recent release Prati Roju Pandaage directing Sai Tej.
Maruthi revealed that after Prema Katha Chitram, Mahesh Babu congratulated him and also asked him to come up with a story for him and also gave him the advance. He said however he did not write a story for Mahesh Babu as he had doubts whether he can do justice to Mahesh Babu's stardom. He said even the same thing happened when Stylish Star Allu Arjun asked him to prepare a story and direct him.
He said after Prati Roju Pandaage he got confidence that he can now direct top stars and so he would love to direct top stars in the future. With Maruthi sending signals to stars, let us see which top star will team with him.
