Maverick director Ram Gopal Varma who likes to hog the media limelight by fishing into the ongoing controversies, this time decided to fish into the troubled waters of the ongoing controversy over three capitals in Andhra Pradesh.
It is known that AP CM Jagan Mohan Reddy's decision to have Visakhapatnam and Kurnool as capitals of AP along with Amaravathi led to a huge controversy. This divided even politicians in the same parties and celebrities too started expressing divergent views.
While Pawan Kalyan, chief of Jana Sena, opposed the latest decision, his elder brother Mega Star Chiranjeevi supported the AP government's decision. In the meantime, Ram Gopal Varma came with a strange proposal.
As a part of his upcoming entertainer Beautiful promotions, he said, “In my view, there is no meaning for capital. If the capital has no meaning, then how does it matter if the capital is in Anakapalli or in Chennai? The capital is like the main theatre and it is the same wherever it is. For people to get the direct rule, every town should have a capital".
