Many expected Ram Charan to continue from where he left in Rangasthalam with Vinaya Vidheya Rama. The film however bombed at the box office. However his dad Mega Star Chiranjeevi showed his power with Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy.
The film directed by Surender Reddy according to trade analysts grossed Rs 250crs at the box office. This proved that the market for Chiranjeevi in Tollywood is still strong and intact. The film though did well in Telugu failed in Tamil, Kannada, Hindi, and Malayalam.
Mahesh Babu who touched on social issues in Srimanthudu and Bharat Ane Nenu and scored hits once again repeated the same magic with Maharshi. The film grossed Rs 200crs at the box office.
Prabhas after Baahubali came with Saaho. The film had a spectacular release across the world. The film grossed more than Rs 400crs at the box office. Though the film did well in Telugu and Hindi, it failed in other languages.
There is an impression that multi starrers are a costly affair and collections will not be as per the market of the two stars. However, Venkatesh, Varun Tej's multi starrer F2 proved everyone wrong by grossing Rs 140crs at the box office
