Mad rush at Indian box office will be witnessed for Christmas on 20th December with many straight and dubbed film releasing on the day. In Telugu, Sai Dharam Tej’s Prati Roju Pandaage and Balakrishna’s Ruler are releasing. The biggest threat for these films is Hollywood giant project Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker hitting the screens for the festival.
Besides competition in local markets, the Indian films may not get desired number of theaters in overseas with the big ticket film releasing on the same occasion. Both Ruler and Prati Roju Pandaage would have limited release and they may no survive in overseas because of the massive competition.
Salman Khan’s Dabangg 3 is the other star attraction for X Mas. Of course, the Prabhu Deva directorial will also have good release in overseas as well. Karthi’s Donga (Thambi) and Sivakarthikeyan’s Hero are also releasing for Christmas.
While Ruler is a mass action entertainer, Prati Roju Pandaage is a family entertainer. Let’s see whether these 2 straight films can give any competition to the star attractions coming for Christmas.
