Maverick director RGV’s controversial political thriller Kamma Rajyam Lo Kadapa Reddlu has failed to get censor clearance. So, the film will not be hitting the screens tomorrow. The censor board is expected to watch the film next week.
Earlier RGV used to make controversial films and get away with it by hogging the media limelight. But with public and people aware of his designs and penchant for hogging the media limelight decided to take him on.
Sometime back his controversial film Lakshmi's NTR release was stalled by the then AP government headed by TDP and its chief Chandra Babu Naidu. Even High Court and Supreme Court too supported the decision and the film which released in Telangana and other regions had to wait till the completion of elections in AP.
Now RGV planned to release his another controversial film Kamma Rajyam Lo Kadapa Reddlu. Many went against the film and lodged complaint against it and he was forced to change the title to Amma Rajyamlo Kadapa Biddalu. However this time, his chameleon acts did not bear fruit as the High Court stalled the film release which was supposed to be tomorrow.
High Court ordered the Censor Board a week's time to watch the film and give the censor certificate. It also ordered RGV to change the film title if he wishes to release his film.
