Stars New Demand Troubling Producers

Telugu Stars New Demands Bringing Headache To Producers

Many aspiring actors and technicians come to Tollywood to realize their passion and dream. Most of them produce films with the aim of seeing their name on screen; realize their passion and dream by selling off their farms, getting finances and taking loans on their properties.

But now people are shocked to find out the headaches and troubles faced by the producers. One of the secretly talked about and in a hush hush manner is the headaches of the stars. Buzz is stars are hitting producers with logics. Their different conditions are suffocating and strangling the producers. Heroes are behaving as if they are generously giving the producers with one hand and at the same time snatching it from the other hand.

Of late reports are coming that stars are telling the producers that they need not to pay their remuneration fully before the film release. However what many do not know is they are coming with conditions that the producers should part with the rights of top regions to them.

So producers are having no option but to part away with the rights of the region which they expect profits even before the film release to the stars. Since all the top stars are in the range of over 20-30crs, they are demanding non theatrical rights in the range of Rs 10-15crs before the film release. The producers are lamenting that if they part with these regions, what profits their film would get.

Bandla Ganesh who came with a blockbuster like Gabbar Singh revealed that he did not get any profits out of it. This shows that the entire profit went to the account of Pawan Kalyan. That is the reason he became financier and many say producers are turning financiers and squeezing money in the name of interests.

Analysts say if Mahesh Babu, Ram Charan, NTR and Allu Arjun are demanding non theatrical rights instead of remuneration, they would be getting around 30-50 crs and so even if the makers claim that the film turned out to be a super hit with 60crs share and 100crs gross, most of it goes into the account of the stars.

Producers too are ready to part with the rights of noted regions as they know that heroes in their hearts feel that it was due to their stardom, the films are doing well at the box office. Apart from it, there is no producer in the industry who can go against the wishes of the stars.

Non theatrical rights are giving sleepless nights to the producers. If the big budget films bomb at the box office, one can imagine the fate of the producers. Everyone knows the fate of many star producers who became paupers.
