Power Star Pawan Kalyan fans were in utter shock when the actor announced to bid adieu to films after the release of Agnyaathavaasi. Of course, the debacle result of the Trivikram Srinivas directorial was not the reason, but his seriousness on strengthening his political outfit Janasena was the real reason.
But, unfortunately, Pawan Kalyan faced embarrassed defeat in the election with he himself losing from two constituencies- Bheemavaram and Gajuwaka. After the election results were out, speculation began about Pawan Kalyan re-entry into films.
De facto, Pawan Kalyan too gave his nod to star in Pink remake when Boney Kapoor and Dil Raju together approached him with the proposal. Venu Sri Ram who was supposed to direct the film also narrated the story to Pawan Kalyan with few alterations.
When the project was almost about to begin, political compulsions in the state forced Pawan Kalyan to amend his plans. He is now making his makers to wait for over a month days now. Even, they don’t have any clarity on when will Pawan Kalyan start working for the project.
More than anybody else, director Venu Sri Ram is in pressure situation with PK postponing the film. It was his dream to direct the power star, but it is certain now whether the project will ever take off.
Other than Venu, there are five other directors whom Pawan Kalyan disappointed.
Director Krish penned a periodic subject for Pawan Kalyan and AM Ratnam was supposed to bankroll the project. Had Pink remake began on time, Krish’s film would have launched sometime next year.
Earlier, Pawan Kalyan committed to do a film with Tamil director RT Neason which even had launching ceremony. But, the film got shelved with Pawan Kalyan announcing to quit films.
Santosh Srinivas also waited for long to make a film with Pawan Kalyan who too showed interest. Producers of Mythri Movie Makers even gave advance for Pawan Kalyan then. But, this film too got cancelled.
Directors Harish Shankar and Trivikram Srinivas are hoping to work again with Pawan Kalyan. But, it seems, they may not get the chance in near future.
