During the last elections, the internal crisis in Telugu Film Producers Council (TFCC) became the talking point in the media. Everyone discussed about two warring factions belonging to influential producers.
The controversy started with few top producers breaking from the strong 1500 members in the name of LLP and forming their own Producers Guild. Dil Raju, D Suresh Babu, and other top producers announced that they cannot work along with those who couldn't produce a film but head TFCC.
During that time, all the talk about film advertisements revenue and deficit started. With all and sundry appearing in front of media without bothering about TFCC, it resulted in TFCC revenue get diminished. During elections, Dil Raju, C Kalyan and others traded various serious charges against each other. Though C Kalyan president of TFCC requested Dil Raju and others to rejoin TFCC, they did not relent and instead parted ways.
The current state of TFCC is pathetic as it is getting cash stripped and fast plunging into the financial crisis. Its Rs 40crs diminished and came down to Rs 7crs as those in the TFCC spent most of them in the name of developmental activities. Few are expressing concern that in another year, TFCC will find it difficult to pay insurance of the producers.
C Kalyan is extremely worried and to set right the state of TFCC, he has been requesting the Producers Guild to join TFCC and hold key posts and responsibilities. Those in the TFCC are saying the shock it got from LLP is huge. Some say the situation arose as many who couldn't make films joined TFCC. Apart from it, various financial scams in TFCC resulted in numerous cases in the court.
