Allu Aravind Is Right, Charan Inexperience Exposed!

Sye Raa Result: Ram Charan’s Serious Resolution

Although several producers were keen to pool resources for Mega Star Chiranjeevi’s comeback film, his son Ram Charan took the responsibility and produced Khaidi No 150. Directed by VV Vinayak, the film turned out to be a huge blockbuster breaking non-Baahubali record.

To realize his dad’s dream of starring in a biopic of a freedom fighter, when no producer dared to invest Rs 250 Cr budget including Allu Aravind, Charan took huge risk by producing the film Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, biopic on unsung freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy. Writers Paruchuri Brothers penned the story long ago. But, they couldn’t find an investor for the film, until Charan came on board to produce it.

As informed by Ram Charan, Sye Raa was made on a whopping budget of Rs 250 Crores. Although the film opened to earth-shattering collections in first week, it couldn’t hold well in second week. The film’s business is coming to an end and it has reached breakeven mark in most of the centers in Telugu states.

With help of local distributors, Sye Raa was released in other languages. But, the film couldn’t rake even decent numbers there, much to the disappointment of Charan who thought the film would collect at least reasonable numbers in other languages, given that stars from various languages were roped in to cash on their popularity. This strategy didn’t work at all.

As per inner sources, the budget increased exceedingly due to various reasons and Charan’s inexperience in production is one of the major reasons. Chiru is said to have advised Charan to not to take such risk again.

For Chiru’s next film with Koratala Siva, Charan zeroed in another producer not just for financial assistance but also to look after production activities as he can’t spend much time due to his busy schedules for RRR.
