Trade analysis is showing different picture on whether big budget Pan India films will show Tollywood power across the country. With the Pan India films, craze for Telugu films is increasing across the North belt. But analysts are of the opinion that despite the craze, distributors are not getting the desired profits and results in other states.
Under these circumstances, discussions are on as to the state of Rajamouli's upcoming multi starrer RRR with Ram Charan and NTR. The presence of Bollywood stars Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn and RRR being Rajamouli's first after Baahubali is generating tremendous buzz across the country.
But after analyzing the results of Prabhas' Saaho and Chiranjeevi's Sye Raa, some dark facts came out showing the stark reality in the mirror. Sye Raa got positive reviews from all quarters and did well in two Telugu states but failed in other languages in other states at the box office. Even in Overseas, the film failed to get the desired result.
Saaho's case is different as Hindi market save the film despite the negative reviews. However it failed in overseas and in other languages including Telugu states.
Under these circumstances, inside talk is Rajamouli is seriously considering on bringing RRR budget under control. DVV Danayya is keen to spend over Rs 300crs for the film but Rajamouli is planning to finish the project under Rs 250crores.
