It is a known news that Young Rebel Star Prabhas's Saaho collected $915K through US premiere shows. The film occupied sixth biggest grosser in the US premieres top ten list.
Meanwhile, Megastar Chiranjeevi's historical magnum opus Sye Raa Narasimahreddy minted $857K with its US premiere shows and occupied all time 7th place in the top ten highest grossers list.
The difference between Sye Raa and Saaho's collections is negligible in the US. However, Sye Raa takes the due credit with some valid reasons.
Saaho, which was actually supposed to hit screens on August 15, had been pushed to August 30th release as the film makers were afraid of the two small films Mission Mangal and Batla House on August 15 release. As such, Saaho enjoyed solo release status and got aforesaid collections with US premiere shows.
On the contrary, Sye Raa team didn't care about a big film War's release on October 2. Despite War film's release Sye Raa was also released on October 2. Since both the films ate each others collections, obviously, Sye Raa's collections would inevitably decreased in its premiere shows. However, surprisingly, Sye Raa collections were almost similar to Saaho's US premieres collections. That's why, Sye Raa is considered to be bigger than Saaho in the US. In the meanwhile, the film is expected to have a steady long run in the US territory.
