In what could be said a huge shocker that The Atomic Minerals Directorate for Exploration and Research has taken up drilling at 15 different locations in the Kurnool district in search for uranium. The operation is taking place from Allagadda mandal headquarters to Gajulapalli in Mahanandi mandal.
It is reported by national media 'The Hindu' that the drilling was about 250 metres deep to extract Uranium samples.
Janasena chief Power Star Pawan Kalyan, who initiated protest against Uranium drilling at Nallamala, was extremely shocked with the news. He posted the newspaper's clipping of the Uranium drilling at Allagadda and posted a series of tweets.
"AP Govt should give a clarity, regarding the drilling for uranium in Allagadda( As the report says...). How come AP govt doesn’t have any clue about it? It’s surprising that dist collector doesn’t know about it. But ,we assure people around Nallamala area, we are there to support you and fight along with you," Pawan Kalyan tweeted. Besides, Pawan Kalyan shared a song shot against Nallamala Uranium drilling.
Wonder what AP government turns blind and dumb on the issue. The CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy should immediately respond on the issue else a huge rebellion would be started from Kurnool.
