Valmiki aka Gaddalakonda Ganesh released last Friday to good response from critics and audience alike. The Varun Tej starrer film had a dream weekend and it is expected to show its power for few more days until Mega Star Chiranjeevi’s Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy arrives to theaters on October 2nd.
Fortunately, the film is doing exceptionally well in mass centers. With Valmiki, Varun Tej proved that, he can do any kind of roles and films. Varun Tej who earlier got lover boy image has now become close to masses with Valmiki.
Meanwhile, there’s hot debate about why director Harish Shankar or producers didn’t rope in a Telugu actor for the protagonist which was played by Tamil actor Atharvaa Murali. In fact, Atharvaa did his part convincingly. Still, many felt, a Telugu actor for the role would have been a better choice.
Actually, Varun Tej and Harish Shankar did not want to give multistarrer color to this film. Had any known Telugu actor did the role of Abhi played by Atharvaa, the film would have been treated as a multistarrer. De facto, enough space was given to the protagonist’s role.
Varun Tej is now super happy with the response and he has now decided to different genre films. He indeed is ready to do experimental films as well.
